Increase Email Capacity
To increase mailbox capacity on an email service, follow these steps:
- Log into the customer administration panel.
- In the navigation bar, select Web & Email Hosting Mailhosting, Webhosting, WebSite, or WMS.
- Choose a srevice to increase the email capacity of.
- In the left menu, click Add-on Services.
- In the list, click the + or magnifying glass button next to Increase Email Space by 5 GB.
- Select or change the number of add-on activations. Each activation adds 5GB of space to the total email capacity up to a maximum of 505 GB (510 GB with Extra Webhosting).
- Click the Enable or Change.
Manage Mailbox Capacity of:
The mailbox settings will take effect within 30 minutes.
The system will generate and send a payment request within 1 working day.
Reduce Email Capacity
The system will only allow a mailbox capacity reduction if the volume of emails on the server does not exceed the new capacity. If the Email size value in the system does not correspond to reality, contact support and ask for a manual update.
To reduce or completely cancel the increase, enter the add-on service management interface in the same way as when activating an increase. Then, in the Increase Email Space by 5 GB interface:
- reduce the number of activations by clicking the change link in the Add-on Service Information table and then select a new number of activations, or
- click the Disable button and confirm.
Common Issues
Common problems with increasing and reducing mailbox capacity include:
- An icurrect value is displayed in the customer admin panel
- Mailboxes are still 100% full after increasing capacity
- Unable to reduce mailbox capacity
Incorrect Mailbox Capacity Value
Issue: After increasing the capacity, the original (incorrect) value is still displayed in the administration panel.
Cause: The increase in mailboxes is usually reflected within 30 minutes. The administration also displays two different values - mailbox capacity (maximum volume of emails), and email size (current volume of emails).
Solution: After making the settings, wait for it to be written. Also, make sure that you check the capacity in the right place – you can find it in the Limits section according to the guide Emails – Domain, Permissions, Limits.
Mailboxes Remain Full
Issue: After increasing the capacity, some (or all) mailboxes are still 100% full.
Cause: Capacity can also be set for individual mailboxes.
Solution: Check the settings of individual mailboxes according to the instructions Emails – Mailboxes.
Cannot Reduce Capacity
Issue: When trying to reduce mailbox capacity, an error message is displayed that there are too many emails.
Cause: If you deleted mailbox contents or the boxes themselves recently, the system probably has not updated the remaining email volume yet.
Solution: Contact support and ask for a manual update.
