  WMS

This article covers setting up and deleting web hosting on WMS. Instructions for specific web hosting settings can be found in the Webhosting category.

Databases are not part of WMS webhostings. You manage them separately according to the WMS – Database instructions.

In this article, you will learn:

Create New WMS Webhosting

To operate a website on the WMS service, you need to have at least one webhosting set up. The number of sites you can host on WMS is limited only by available space and performance.

Follow these steps to set up a new webhosting:

  1. Log into the customer administration panel.
  2. In the navigation bar, select Web & Email Hosting WMS.
  3. Select the WMS to create the service on.
  4. In the left menu, click New WMS Webhosting.
  5. Enter the webhosting name and possibly enable emails.

Enable Emails

If you have sufficient email space on WMS which you have not yet distributed among other WMS web hostings, you can activate email services and assign an individual email quota to the newly created webhosting.

You can find more information about emails on WMS in the article WMS – Emails.

After clicking the Enable Email Services switch, you will see an indicator of the remaining email capacity and a slider to allocate a certain number of GB to the new webhosting.

Delete WMS Webhosting

Deleting WMS webhostings uses a trash system. By deleting a webhosting, you first move it to the trash, where it is deactivated but still contains data and you can restore it at any time. Once in the trash, you can permanently delete it including all files.

A webhosting in the trash bin still takes up space on the web server and its mailboxes continue to receive emails.

We do not back up data from WMS services. We have no means to restore a permanently deleted WMS webhosting!

A WMS webhosting located in the trash bin blocks:

  • access to domains, aliases and subdomains directed to it from the Internet,
  • creating services with the same name (Webhosting, alias, WebSite, Mailhosting) at WEDOS,
  • accesses to SFTP and mailboxes,
  • CRON jobs.

To trash your webhosting, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the customer administration panel.
  2. In the navigation bar, select Web & Email Hosting WMS.
  3. Select the WMS to delete the service from.
  4. In the left menu, select WMS Webhosting Service List.
  5. Click the trash icon next to the webhosting and confirm.

Restore or Permanently Delete WMS Webhosting

You can find the trash bin at the bottom of the WMS Webhosting list. Here, you can:

  • restore the webhosting with the green icon, or
  • permanently delete it with the red icon.

By pressing the Empty Bin button, you will irreversibly delete all the webhostings that are in it.

FAQ

Question: Can I delete webhostings directly without using the trash bin?
Answer: Unfortunately, this is a security measure. The fastest way to delete multiple webhostings is to empty the trash.
