This guide deals with the specifics of setting up WMS service databases. Otherwise, except for the specifics mentioned in this article, the same procedures apply here as for Webhosting databases, which you can find in the article Webhosting – Databases.

WMS Databases

Unlike the Webhosting service, where the size of the database is determined by the service plan, you allocate resources directly to WMS databases. You can find detailed information in the article WMS – Upgrade.

WMS databases exist separately from its webhosting services. This has the following consequences:

New WMS Database

Follow these steps to create a new WMS database:

  1. Log into the customer administration panel.
  2. In the navigation bar, select Web & Email Hosting WMS.
  3. From the list of services, select the one where you want to create a new database.
  4. In the left menu, select New Database.
  5. Fill in the details and click Create.

WMS Database Management

You can find an overview of the databases in the details of the WMS service, which you can access by following these steps:

  1. Log into the customer administration panel.
  2. In the navigation bar, select Web & Email Hosting WMS.
  3. From the list of services, select the one where you want to create a new database.
  4. In the Database table, select the databse you want to manage.

In the database detail, you can:

WMS Database Operator

By default, the database operator is the operator of the corresponding WMS service. If you want to change it, scroll down to the Edit Service Operator Information form in the database detail, check the consents and save. The system will generate and send a new processing agreement.

FAQ

Question: Can I access WMS databases from other services?
Answer: Similar to Webosting, WMS databases can only be accessed from WEDOS Webhosting and WMS for security reasons.

Question: How do I know if the databases have enough performance allocated?
Answer: You can find out the performance of the databases and the entire service in the Grafana interface according to the WMS – Performance Diagnostics guide.
