Template domains are used to quickly set up selected domains with a specific plan.

You can specify any settings available for the selected plan to the template domain. Whenever you need to apply the settings to domains in your administration, just select these domains and replicate the template. The result is the same as if you performed the settings manually for each of the domains.

You can enter any template domain name, you don’t have to follow the conventions for common domain names. For example, you can name a template domain that disables cache on domains with the Start plan Start without Cache.

To set up a template domain, follow these steps:

1. Log into the WEDOS Global administration panel.
2. Click the Add template domain button in the upper right corner on the User dashboard.
3. Enter the template name and click Continue.
4. Select a plan for the template.

The creation of the template domain takes place almost immediately.

You can manage the template immediately after creating it, or later. To open an existing template, follow these steps:

1. Log into the WEDOS Global administration panel.
2. In the User dashboard, in the Template domains section, select the template to manage.

With this template, you can:

• Set any property available to the selected plan (including target IPs)
• Change the plan
• Rename the template
• Delete the template

You may set target IP addresses for the template domain. If you set them, replicating the template will override the settings of the domains’ target IP addresses. If the template domain has no target IPs, it will not make any such changes.

To change the template plan, follow these steps:

1. In the left menu, click Subscription.
2. Select the plan you want to set.
3. Confirm with the Change plan button.

You can change the template’s name and delete it using the Settings link in the left menu.

Once you have set up the template, all that remains is to apply it to the selected domains. Follow these steps:

1. Log into the WEDOS Global administration panel.
2. In the User dashboard, in the Template domains section, select the template to manage.
3. Check the domains to replicate the template to.
4. Click the Replicate button.

Question: What should I name the template domain?
Answer: Give it a name you can easily find in the list. The name can have one or more words, lowercase and uppercase letters, spaces and dashes.

Question: How much does it cost to change the template plan?
Answer: Changing the template plan is free. It serves only to limit the selection of domains for which the template and the corresponding settings are available.
