Data Storage
Data storage is mainly used to back up files, whether it is websites, emails or personal data. However, with the development of technology, there are growing demands for expanding work with files, from sharing and editing online to the functionality of a full-fledged digital office.
We offer data storage in two variants:
- WEDOS Disk: The Disk service is our primary storage. It serves as a reliable and easily accessible backup and archiving space especially for websites and files from personal or company computers. To back up Webhosting and VPS SSD servers, we offer a 5 GB (Web hosting) or 10 GB (VPS) Disk service free of charge.
- WEDOS Cloud Disk (CD): Cloud disk is a modern storage solution based on the NextCloud platform. It is primarily designed for sharing files, from photos to documents, in real time. We offer the basic version for free.
Create and Manage Data Storage
Because they are two different services, WEDOS Disk and Cloud Disk have their own orders. It is also not possible to automatically switch from one service to another.
WEDOS Disk
To run a WEDOS Disk, follow these steps:
- Order the service.
- Wait for the system to create the Disk (usually within 1 hour of receiving payment).
- Connect your web or device to the disk via one of the supported protocols.
- Download and send data as needed. You can automate backup using your own script or third-party software.
Cloud Disk (CD)
To run a WEDOS Disk, follow these steps:
- Order the service.
- Wait for the system to create the Cloud Disk (usually within 1 hour of receiving payment).
- Create a new user.
- Connec via the web interface or the NextCloud app.
