WEDOS CD User Account
The WEDOS CD service uses a unique WEDOS ID account for login. This account may, but doesn’t have to use the same email as the customer account (admin panel login).
You can assign one WEDOS ID account to a maximum of one WEDOS CD service.
Create New User
Creating a new WEDOS CD user consists of two steps – once the user is created, activate their account.
To create a new WEDOS CD account, follow these steps:
- Log into the customer administration panel.
- In the navigation bar, select CD.
- Choose the service you want to create the user for.
- In the left menu, select NextCloud Users (X).
- In the list, click the New User link.
- Enter the User Email.
- Click the Create button.
Activate New WEDOS ID User
In the last step of creating a new user, you sent an email to the specified address with login data and a link to activate the account.
Follow these steps to activate the account:
- Copy the password from the email notification.
- Click the account activation email.
- Fill in the form on the Activate Appliaction page.
- Click the Activate button.
User Account Management
You can only change the WEDOS CD account password once it’s activated. You can also deactivate it (prevent the user from logging in) or delete it.
You can also change your password in the WEDOS ID interface.
To manage the WEDOS CD account, follow these steps:
- Log into the customer administration panel.
- In the navigation bar, select CD.
- Choose the service you want to manage the user of.
- In the left menu, select NextCloud Users (X).
- To the left of the username, click the pencil icon\
- In the Action section, slect Disconnect, Change Password, or Delete.
Disconnecting the user prevents them from logging in. Their account will remain paired with that WEDOS CD service. To remove the user completely, delete it.
FAQ
Question: Can one WEDOS ID account be used for multiple CD services?
Answer: This is currently not possible. If you need to give one user access to multiple WEDOS CD services, create a new account for each one, for example using email aliases that you can add to mailboxes in the settings.
Question: How do I change my account password if I don’t have access to the customer administration panel?
Answer: Use the WEDOS ID password recovery form.
