Link Sharing
You can share any file or folder on WEDOS CD with a link, even to users without an account. Follow these steps:
- In the NextCloud interface, find the file or folder you want to share.
- Click the share icon .
- On the Sharing panel, use the + icon to create a new Share link.
Po založení odkazu pro sdílení jej můžete kopírovat do schránky tlačítkem .
Customize Link Sharing
By default, the folder or file is shared in the View only mode. To change this, click the … button and select Customize link.
The first settings allow you to choose a sharing type:
- View only: the user with the link can only browse the file or folder contents. They cannot delete, change or add anything.
- Can edit: the user with the link can upload, change and delete files.
- File drop (upload only): the user with the link can only upload new files, but cannot view them (folder content is hidden), change or delete them. This option is only available for shared folders.
If you want to secure the content, choose the Set password option (when checked, a box for entering a password will appear) and, if necessary, set an expiration date after which the sharing will be disabled.
You can always remove the link by clicking × Unshare.
Share with Other Users
CD Family (5 accounts) and CD Office (10 or more accounts) service variants support multiple users. By default, each user has their own space.
To share a file or folder with other users, follow these steps:
- In the NextCloud interface, find the file or folder you want to share.
- Click the share icon .
- In the Sharing panel, search for the name or email of the person you want to share with.
- Select the person from the list.
That is all you need to do to share with the user.
Customize User Sharing
By default, the shared folder allows the user to edit, create, delete, and share files further. To change sharing settings, click the … button to the right of the user’s name or email.
Here you can list the document or folder management permissions by checking the corresponding boxes: editing, creating (folders only), deleting (folders only) and sharing with other people.
You can cancel sharing at any time by clicking × Unshare.
