  Web Hosting

If WEDOS support requests FTP access to your Webhosting or WMS, make sure to set it up using this guide. Once you create this access, let us know that we can proceed.

In this article, you will learn:

Grant Temporary Access

To create temporary FTP access for WEDOS support, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the customer administration panel.
  2. In the navigation bar, select Web & Email Hosting Webhosting (or WMS).
  3. Choose the webhosting service you want to grant access to.
  4. In the FTP Accounts table header, click the Temporary WEDOS Support Access link.

  1. On the next page, select the time for which you want to activate the access. We recommend at least 1 working day.
  2. Check the terms of use and click the Enable button.

After the set time has elapsed, the system will block the temporary support account.

The system does not automatically inform customer support that temporary FTP access is granted. If you have set it up at the request of a support worker, let them know.

Question: How long should I set up temporary access for?
Answer: A typical check, for example checking FTP access or files, usually takes a maximum of 12 hours. More complex actions, such as solving a problem with CMS (WordPress and similar) can take longer. As a rule, we recommend setting temporary access at least until the end of the next working day and extending it if necessary.
