WEDOS Webhosting
Webhosting is one of our original services. It offers space for your own website’s files and databases, support for PHP and various content management systems (WordPress, Joomla, …) and emails.
If you want to start a website with a simple editor, try WebSite. The basic version (FREE) is free.
Webhosting offers, among other things:
- up to unlimited space for website files
- up to 5 GB of space for databases
- 5 GB of space for emails (you can increase up to 0.5 TB)
- automatic data migration from competitors and app installer (only selected plans)
- PHP 5.X, 7.X and 8.X
- HTTPS included
- free WEDOS Disk for backups

Webhosting Plans
We currently offer the web hosting service in three plans, which you can further modify using add-ons.
- NoLimit. Webhosting NoLimit is the basic plan with parameters tuned especially for the popular WordPress content management system, which can be installed automatically using the app installer.
- Extra. Webhosting Extra expands NoLimit primarily with higher performance and daily backups.
- LowCost. Webhosting LowCost is for advanced users who optimize the website for minimal performance demands. For that reason, it does not include an app installer or aliases.

Webhosting Order Conditions
You can set up web hosting for any 2nd or 3rd order domain, including domains not registered by WEDOS.
Before placing a new order, make sure that:
- The domain for which you are ordering Webhosting is in your customer account, or you are set as an authorized user. You do not have to meet this condition if the domain is with another registrar, or if you are ordering a free domain with the Webhosting service.
- You are not using the domain for which you are ordering Webhosting with another service (WebSite, Mailhosting, WMS).
Webhosting Order
If you meet the conditions, order new Webhosting in the order form. This has seven steps:
1. Basic Information
In the first step, enter the name (domain or subdomain without www) of the Webhosting.
If you want to get a free domain with the new Webhosting service, only complete this order (do not order the domain separately). The free domain promotion applies only to selected TLDs (you can find the current list further in the order) and is incompatible with most discount coupons.
Next, select a plan and add-on services. You can change both later in the customer administration panel according to the instructions Webhosting – Change Plan and Webhosting – Add-ons.
Next, set the options:
- PHP Version. You can change it later according to the instructions Webhosting – PHP configuration.
- 4DNS Settings. If the domain uses WEDOS DNS servers, the system directs the type A, AAAA and MX records to Webhosting. Later you can change them according to the DNS – Domain Records guide.
In the next section, set:
- Gifts. Choose whether you want a free gift with your Webhosting (such as a free domain). Select No Gift to redeem a discount coupon instead.
- Bonus for migrating from a competing provider. If you aren’t applying for this bonus, do not fill in the form. You can find more information about the bonus on our website.
- Discount. Enter and apply the Webhosting discount coupon code here. Discount coupons are usually incompatible with gifts.
2. Settings
In this step, fill in the free domain settings, if you have chosen to order one with the Webhosting.
If you have not selected the Free Domain with This Webhosting gift, the system will skip this step.

3. Login/Register
In this step, log into the customer administration panel or register a new account.
If you are already logged in to the administration panel, the system will skip this step.
If you have problems logging in, follow the instructions Administration – Login Troubleshooting.
4. Domain Owner
In this step, fill in the free domain owner information, if you have chosen to order one with the Webhosting.
If you have not selected the Free Domain with This Webhosting gift, or have provided an existing contact in Step 2, the system will skip this step.

5. Billing Information
Billing information may differ from owner information. The system will send all invoicing and communication regarding service settings to the specified email (and only to it).
You can update the billing information of the service according to the instructions Service – Billing Information.
6. Operator
In this step, fill in the information of the webhosting operator with whom WEDOS will enter into a processing agreement.
The webhosting operator has no special authority over the service. In the event of a dispute, WEDOS considers the customer in whose account the service is located, to be the owner of the service, unless a court or other competent authority decides otherwise.
7. Finalize
In this step, carefully check the entered data, especially the billing email, to which the system will send the Webhosting creation notification after creating the service.
At the end of the order, you can choose to pay via your credit account.
After completing the order, the system will immediately send you an email with payment details. After successfully receiving the payment, it will set up the service within 1 hour.
Common Issues
Common issues with a Webhosting order include:
- Domain in another customer account
- Domain name cannot be used
- There’s no bonus for migrating from a competing provider
- Emails stopped arriving
- Domain directs to original hosting
Domain Registered in Another Customer Account
Issue: There is an error: This domain name cannot be used. – Domain registered in another customer account. Move it to this account or set it as an authorized user.
Cause: The domain whose name you want to set with the hosting service must be in the same customer account as this hosting service, or it must be an account that is an authorized user of the domain and DNS. This is a security measure against misuse of domains.
Solution: Move the domain at least temporarily to your own customer account (using the service move method or using the domain AUTH-ID), or have your account set up as an authorized user.
Domain Name Cannot Be Used
Issue: There is an error: This domain name cannot be used. – Domain name already used with another service (Service).
Cause: A domain (or subdomain) name can be used at most once for most hosting services in our system. It does not matter if these services are on one customer account – the restriction is system-wide.
Solution: Rename the conflicting service (WebSite, Mailhosting, other Webhosting or alias) according to the instructions in the link to, for example, old.domain.tld, where domain.tld is replaced by the name of your domain. Remove the alias entirely.
Competition Migration Bonus
Issue: After ordering Webhosting with a migration bonus, I got a payment request and the Webhosting doesn’t work.
Cause: You get the bonus period in addition to the 1st year of Webhosting operation.
Solution: Pay for the first year of service operation, the system will then send your bonus request to customer support for approval.
Emails Stopped
Issue: After the Webhosting was created, emails stopped arriving to an external service (Google Workspace, …).
Cause: If you leave WEDOS DNS changes checked in your Webhosting order, the system will overwrite both the A and AAAA and MX records.
Solution: Set the DNS MX records back to the original email service provider.
Domain Directs to Original Hosting
Issue: Despite the DNS rewrite, the domainstill directs to the original webhosting.
Cause: The domain probably does not use WEDOS DNS servers. The content of the original website may also be cached in the browser.
Solution: Check if the domain uses WEDOS DNS servers (NSSET). If so, wait up to 1 hour for the DNS records to propagate and clear the browser cache, if not, change the records manually with your current provider.
FAQ
Question: Is the NoLimit and NoLimit Extra web hosting really unlimited?
Answer: Yes, but it only applies to files that are actively used by the site. It is forbidden to keep backups on this space (use the free WEDOS Disk for backups). File size is also physically limited by server capacity.
Question: What is the difference between the gifts Free Domain with This Webhosting and Free domain?
Answer: The former relates directly to the order (you order the hosting at the same time as the domain), the latter sends a coupon with which you reset the price of a domain ordered separately according to the instructions Domains – Registration.
Question: I entered the wrong domain name, what should I do?
Answer: If the service has not yet been created, ask support to cancel the order. If the system has already created the Webhosting, rename it according to this guide.
Question: The form skips some order steps, why is this happening?
Answer: Some of the steps of the form are conditional on previous settings, such as the Free Domain with This Webhosting gift.
