Service Folders
If you need to set custom behavior upon expiration for selected services that differs from the global settings, you can add them to a folder. For example, you can add services to a folder to:
- Automatically renew your own services from the credit account, while those belonging to your customers in the same account renew after they pay the invoice (default setting).
- Stop one-time services from renewing without terminating them outright.
Create New Folder
Each folder only works for the service group for which it was created. You cannot manage Webhosting using folders created in the Domains group, and vice versa.
To delete a folder, first go to the folder management interface by following these steps:
- Log into the customer administration panel.
- In the navigation bar, select the service category you want to manage.
- In the service list, click the Manage Folders link.
On the next page, in the New Folder box below the folder list, enter a name for the new folder and click the Create button. This will create a new folder with default settings that you can edit later.
Folder Settings
To change folder settings, first enter the folder management interface in the same way as when creating a new folder.
You can change the folder name directly in the folder list. Just enter a new name in the text box with the original folder name and click the save button.
To delete a folder, click the red × button on the left.
To open folder settings, click the tool icon to the left of the folder ID.
In the settings, you will find a table with list of services inside that folder, as well as the following options:
- Service behavior upon expiration, where you can let services inherit global settings, or set any other behavior from among sending payment request with or without reminders, no reminders, auto-renew, and nothing.
- PUSH notifications, where you can let services inherit global settings, or turn notifications on or off.
- Automatic add-on activation upon service renewal, where you can let services inherit global settings, or turn automatic activation on or off.
After changing the settings, confirm the new value by clicking the Set button.
Add or Remove Services
Each service can be in up to 1 folder.
To add a service to a folder, follow these steps:
- Log into the customer administration panel.
- In the navigation bar, select the service category you want to manage.
- From the list, check the services you want to add to a folder.
- On the bottom right part of the list, select the folder and click Perform.
To remove a service from the folder, proceed in the same way as for adding a service, but select the – none – option from the menu.
FAQ
Question: If I put multiple services in one folder, will they also be billed together?
Answer: No, placing services in a folder will only change their behavior against the global service expiration setting. Services continue to expire separately, and you renew them separately.
