Services – Downtime and Maintenance

  Services

In this article, you will learn:

Current Service Status

You can find the current service status on WEDOS Status at wedos.status.online.

This service continuously monitors our services and updates information every 10 minutes. If problems arise for which we do not have Status monitoring set up, we add the information manually.

WEDOS Status

The online monitoring at wedos.status.online monitors not only all our services, but also individual domain name registries (which we use), DNS servers, customer administration , WEDOS API, optical routes or protections such as DDoS, IDS/IPS and others.

WEDOS Status perks:

  • It’s outside our infrastructure, so even if you can’t get to us, you’ll know what’s going on.
  • The service is completely independent of the device or third party software. It’s a simple HTML page.
  • We send data to the service automatically, semi-automatically (requires an active step by one of our employees to add information) and manually.
  • You do not need to log in to the customer administration panel for basic information.

WEDOS Status is the fastest and easiest way to find out if all WEDOS services and systems are functional. Since we can also send data to WEDOS Status manually, you will find information about planned downtime and other connected systems, for example registry maintenance.

Downtime Details

You can find the most detailed information about the status of services in the customer administration panel. On the Failure, downtime changes page, you will find a full overview of all events that have happened or are planned. You can filter these events and get a more detailed description.

FAQ

Question: Can I have my own Status?
Answer: Yes, in two ways:

Question: How can I monitor the Status service continuously?
Answer: If you want to have a detailed overview of WEDOS service status, keep the Status web page open in your web browser bookmarks and set up auto-renew directly on the page (top right menu). Then just check the tab icon from time to time: if the icon is green, then everything is fine and all WEDOS services and systems are working. An orange icon indicates a warning (it may be an overloaded server, for example). In the event of a malfunction, the bookmark icon will change to a bright red color.

Question: How exactly do I set up Status auto-refresh?
Answer: Press the ↻ button to refresh the page once. For automatic refresh, expand the menu next to the button and check the item “refresh automatically”.
