WEDOS EWM – Service settings

Start with login to WEDOS EWM in the Control panel.

You can login to EWM monitoring using the “Go to EWM page” button in our Control panel.

WEDOS EWM Overview page is a list of all available tests and their current results. Most of the tests will be set automatically, some of them will wait for manual setting.

The Domain overview shows the results of all tests.

Running and successful tests. There are no issues, the server is responding.
Running tests with a warning. The server is running but may be experiencing some minor issues (speed, etc.).
Running tests with an error. The server is unavailable or there is a setting issue.
Paused tests are shown in grey color. The test is set but it’s currently paused.
Not showing in overview – these tests are not set yet. A manual configuration may be required.

Domain – paused test, HTTP – response error, DNS servers – warning, other tests – OK.

Manual test settings

If the automatic setting fails (missing DNS records) or is not available (server address required), tests may be waiting for manual configuration.

To enter the manual configuration please use the detail >> button.

In the Check detail please fill in all required fields and use the save settings button.

Fill in all required fields and click on the save settings button.

Test will start running.

There are DNS-based tests in the list, it starts running automatically if the DNS record exists. SPF record check for example.

SPF record test is available only if DNS SPF record is available.

To launch this test you have to just set the DNS SPF record. Once SPF record is detected, test will start running.

Once the SPF DNS record is detected, the check will start running.

Monitoring and notification settings

In the Monitoring settings, you can change e-mail addresses for error and warning notifications. You can also globally disable sending warning or error e-mails.

In the Monitoring settings, you can set your e-mail address and change the global notification setting.

There is also the Notification settings for each check.

Each check has it’s own Notification settings.

API

API is available only in WEDOS EWM High Availability.

WEDOS EWM monitoring is also available using API. See our full documentation. You can activate API in the Settings >> API settings.

Use the activate API button to see your login details.
