No special demands are placed on the ownership of PL domains (in terms of the owner’s data); anyone can register, regardless of the country. All registrations and changes take place online and automatically, no manual administration is required.
When registering and changing the owner, it is necessary to agree to the Domain Name Registration Rules.
Domains can be registered for a period of 1-10 years and renewed arbitrarily for up to 10 years.
Changing PL registrars is free.
PL domains use authorisation passwords for re-registration and change of ownership. These are obtained from the current registrar.
The domain is removed from the DNS zone on the expiration date and will no longer be available. The domain can be extended for another 30 days after expiration, after which it is deleted from the registry.
All changes to the domain are free and can be made online after logging in to the customer administration.
Important note: PL domains can only be renewed once per accounting period. Therefore, if a domain was registered on 1 January 2021 for one year, it would only be possible to renew the domain once in the accounting period of 1 January 2021 – 1 January 2022. If the renewal took place immediately on the day of registration (i.e. 1.1.2021), a further renewal would only be possible after the expiry of the given invoicing period, i.e. 2.1.2022.
