This tutorial addresses the activation of WEDOS Global as a domain add-on service. Alternatively, you can add the domain directly in the WEDOS Global interface according to the Global – Adding a domain guide, or via the WordPress plugin.

Activate WEDOS Global on a Domain

Before activating the WEDOS Global add-on service, make sure that the domain is using our DNS servers. Instructions can be found in the article Domains – DNS Servers (NSSET).

You can activate WEDOS Global as a domain add-on service as part of a new domain order, or later in the customer administration panel. Detailed instructions for activating additional services can be found in the article Services – Add-ons.

When activated in this way, the system will automatically set up the following:

  • change type A and AAAA DNS records (for the main domain and * subdomains);
  • basic Global system settings for the selected plan.

The setup process will typically take place within 30 minutes from the add-on activation, or once the DNS servers are set to WEDOS.

Once the domain is created or immediately after activating the additional service in the customer administration panel, the system will add the selected domain to the WEDOS Global administration.

In the domain detail, make sure that the DNS settings are OK. If not, direct the domain to WEDOS Global in the customer administration panel, or set the correct DNS records manually.

Common Issues

Common problems with enabling the WEDOS Global add-on service include:

Automatic DNS Setup Error

Issue: After activating the add-on, the domain’s DNS records still direct to my hosting service, instead of WEDOS Global.

FAQ

Question: Can I activate the WEDOS Global trial version this way?
Answer: Not entirely. You can cancel add-onservices and get a refund only within 7 days of placing the order. If you want to use the trial version to its full extent, activate it according to the Global – Trial Version instructions.
